Although the image looks to be quite saturated I didn't boost the saturation or vibrance at all in post processing.

Processing was fairly minimal, just RAW conversion with some minor tweaks for for shadows and highlights and some USM after re-sizing.

If I were a plant of the opposite sex I would find this blast of pink irresistable. Or even if not - a flower, that is. PS. I like it - pink and all.
There's a story of one of the seven sisters oil companies trying to reduce the time spent in filling station restrooms by painting them pink. Result: turns out even men find the color pink very relaxing. Color consultants later recommended the color green instead because the human eye is most sensitive to green and is far less relaxing. That's one reason night vision scopes have a green display - it takes less light to be seen.

Very pretty and almost abstract. I'd be interested to see it in all four orientations to decide which my eye prefers.

There you go with those excellent reds, again.
Good control of your palette.

Boy, lots of fine details. The deep saturation is probably natural, but seems a little over saturated. But with some things in nature, that's the way it is.

Love how the stamen is reaching out from the shallow DOF. Great captures of the cactus.

Just a single off camera speedlite to camera left. Shutter speed and aperture eliminated any ambient light.

The shots you posted have dragged us progressively deeper into the cactus. If you continue any further we might not be able to ever get back out again! Your background shows sensual colors and shapes, the stamen is a big contrast in texture, shape and "feeling".

Nice, love the shallow DOF in this one. Colours are great as well, any special lighting on the subject? I like to start making macros myself, will start with a reversed 50mm to try out a bit. But this Tamron looks like a good lens for macro photography.

Wow, nice. Love the detail. I find the same thing when I'm shooting strong reds, especially flowers and flamingos. Once I do the levels adjustment, the saturation goes to 11, and I have to dial it down to keep from blowing out the red channel. I like the saturation on this one, though.
