I still don't think I've got that special combination of sharpness and glow quite right. I blame my anti-aliasing filter ;-)

I'd like a bit more room around his feet but lost some of my frame through straightening.

What's cool about this is that both subjects work together in the context yet are obviously separate individuals - if you know what I mean. The story is here. Congratulations on the ribbon.

I love this shot and must say that I did ponder if it wasn't John's. There are a few elements though quite different, the main character is a polished type and so is your processing. I"ll place it in my favorites.
Just saw these French guys caught by John, probably suffering from mal de vivre and malaise from the raised taxes probably . The never heard of stiff upper lip.
