 These art challenges are a lot of fun, even if I have no clue what will be received as art :)

I can only hope for a repeat performance of my Art of 2011 entry.

This photo was an alternate for the Best of 2012 challenge. I was really fighting between this and the one I entered, and eventually landed on that one. then came this challenge, and I looked at entries I saved for it. This one stood out as by far my favorite, and I hope people see it as artsy.

I love the bold golds and oranges of these maple leaves. It shows off the brilliancy of nature. I do have one small critique that I think will make this shot even better. The bold colors are very bright - almost too bright going to the brass side. It is my thought that it needs just a little more contrast in the shadows/darker tones to give it a bit more depth and richness. Just a touch (not too much) of contrast would add the depth dimension.
