| There's a line in "Born Free" (I think) which says once you've been to Africa, you always want to go back. I was there when I was a young teen, and it has haunted me since to want to return. This almost makes me feel like I'm there. Congrats on the tt. |

I had 2 goals when we left for Africa. Summit Kilimanjaro and photograph a Black Rhino running towards me. As I stood on the roof of Africa and basked in the glory of achieving my # 1 bucket list item, I wondered if I could knock off two items and capture the Rhino. Unfortunately the Rhino were a long way off and the only activity they produced was spontaneously lying down!
So, I was happy one morning when we set on the Serengeti, to see these Wildebeest running! Our driver, respectful of the animals and our safety and safe return would not accommodate my wish to get in front of them for a more dramatic shot but I happily settled for the side view.
Africa is wonderful. I also got a nice shot of a lioness and I debated long and hard over which one to post but this one was my first choice so I went with it.

| An incredible wildlife capture, one most of us will never witness except in a capture such as this or on TV. Part of me wishes they were coming toward me - part of me is very glad you weren't in their path LOL Nicely done. 10 Voted earlier. |

| But where are the lions?! I do see a Zebra over there amongst the Wildebeests. And something that looks like a tent. If it is ... bad place for it LOL. Must be amazing to see this in person. |

| My kinda place :) They are the funniest animals, always cantering and chasing one another and then suddenly a burst of group activity. The slight desaturation/blueishness (distant background) is unusual in your processing and I'm finding that to be less unreal as I once did. I like the shot but in all honesty it would be more powerful if they were headed to ward me, as difficult as that is to ever capture. |
