 Pointed the camera straight up at a CFL bulb and covered the lens with dried basil leaf.

-Tripod, timer, manual mode
-FL 36mm (35m EQ) in SuperMacro mode
-Custom White Balance
-RGB Curve through graduated mask
-RGB and Blue/Yellow Curves
-Resize
-USM at 88%/0.8 dia/TH = 5 (applied twice)
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 7/10 = 260KB

I like your idea to take something unusual and light it up; however, the light spots are too hot and are a bit distracting. I do like the that it is abstract!
