Photographer’s Notes
I have concluded I don’t have a signature style of photography. But there are a number of styles I don’t attempt much. They are ‘not like me,’ or at least not like I feel about myself. This would be an example of that.

I didn’t resonate with the challenge much. To start with and with all due respect to Langdon – it’s a goofy challenge. The only challenge criterion is to use the same title. So, it’s a free study with 22 entries as I submit this. But I wanted a photo that somehow illustrated falling apart.

Photographer’s block … absolutely nothing came to mind. So I went out with friends last evening for dinner and to watch a silent movie (Silent Movie Monday at the Paramount). We ate at a restaurant called Rumba. My daughter says they serve Daiquiris there that would make Hemmingway weep, but I digress. The corner of the restaurant has a small with a big bar wall behind it. Looked interesting so I snapped an iPhone Photo. The silent movie was accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer organ. So I snapped an iPhone photo of the keyboard.

Could I combine these two photos in some creative way to illustrate falling apart? You be the judge. Don’t have high hopes for the score, but maybe its vibe will find an audience here.

This looks like a very nice bar, where an orange parka would be unusual. The orange is a great color for this shot, though.

I really like the image. I don't think it need the textured overlay...I find that to be distracting.

I have to read a lot in this to get "Falling Apart"... like the woman is estranged from her SO and "falling apart". But without the title and challenge theme, this image, to me, does nothing to convey that.
