you must be very attractive .. or interesting .. the way they are looking at you .. i mean ewe ... !! ..
i'm particularly fond of grain .. altho my tendency is to go for really clear and sharp ..
but what i like about grain is that is seems to give a photo a bit of an edge .. its hard to explain .
but it moves a photo into the realms of art .. just my opinion ..
it took me a little while to appreciate the tones you have used on this pic ... but they gradually grew on me ..
now i'm really liking them .. its like the promise of a beautiful day ..
however .. i vaguely remembered that saying about a shepherd and a delight ..
so of course i googled it ..
"Red sky at night, shepherds' delight.
Red sky at morning, shepherds take warning." ..
may not be such a great day .. !! .. but your photo makes it so .. :)

Wonderful work. Brought back memories of my childhood in a cold working sheep district in Australia. 7.

Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.

This is one of my 8s - I like it. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Wonderful pink and green hues - like those movies that are stylistically graded.

2. Engaging subjects - cute but not sugary.

3. Lovely composition - I particularly like where the horizon is in relation to the frame.

4. The grain/noise. Masterful.

5. The slight glow - a good processing match to the fog.

A photo that is more than the sum of its parts. Well played.

Thank you Paul - I am very honoured to have caught your attention.

Great image & congratulations on the TT finish.

Thanks for the lovely feedback. Not Scotland but they are in the UK in Somerset.

I'm not really sure why I'm a sucker for foggy sheep shots, but I am. Interesting how decrepit the ewe on the right looks. Nicely done.
