It may look sunny in this photo, but it was actually lightly snowing! That's right, still getting snow :(.

But spring is pushing through, trying to work its way into our lives. Here is the proof, what little of it there is. Just a few clumps of growth here and there.

This is some flowers in our front yard that come up every year and delight us with their yellow beauty. Right now, the blades are about 1.5 inches tall, and still mostly covered by dead leaves. I had to remove some of those leaves for this shot.

The photo has a much wider depth of field than normal, as this is actually 10 exposures taken with a macro rail. Each exposure was about 2.5 millimeters apart, giving a total travel distance of 2.5 centimeters, which gives a nice touch of extra detail to the scene. It just looks so much more real than if this was a single exposure with the very shallow depth of field, even at the 7.1 aperture used.
