 Photographer’s Notes
Taken on the same shooting day as my architectural triptych photo, and in the same transit tunnel. Take a look at the longer notes associated with that photo.


The thing that’s fun with this, in my opinion, is the very deep depth of field. It was shot at f/22, which is also responsible for the stars around the lights. This was also an HDR image, which was only possible because the train was moving directly toward the camera.

This is probably a love it or hate it photo, but I like it and maybe you will, too.

Wonderful shot! The composition, with those leading lines and frame filling tunnel is great and the train lights a perfectly placed point of interest. Well done.

I like the color grading. It helps to reenforce the underground feeling of the shot. And the specular highlights from the train lights are very cool!
