I'd like to say that this shot was taken with much planning and forethought but it was totally random, unintended for submission, and unexpected. I just got my new Canon 6D. I was in the parking lot just before going into work taking random pictures of birds, trees, etc. I looked up and saw a big beautiful moon and focused in to take some handheld shots. Low and behold the plane was streaking across the sky! I didn't even know there was a challenge suitable for this shot and hadn't looked at the results on my computer. When I saw the challenges I decided just to throw this shot in to get some critiques. It was cropped, sharpened, levels adjustments and slight saturation. Nice surprise. It did much better than I could have imagined. Thanks for the comments and the positive input with such a high score. Nice Camera:)

What an angle! I wonder if this is a (very) lucky shot, or rather if you planned everything, from the moon position to the plane route? In any case, it is quite impressive. Congratulations on the nice finish!

ETA: Just saw your notes, and all I can say is that you had the appropriate instinct at the appropriate moment. Not the kind of shot you could comfortably do and redo in your studio. Great job!
