 i found this old leaf during spring thaw. it was basically intact.

i carefully broke some of the bottom off, left some larger pieces, and crumbled some to fine dust. i then "painted" with the pieces and dust on a sheet of paper over a sheet of plexiglass, lit the whole thing from below, and took the photo from above
