Lovely shot, nice reflections. I think DPC has a taste for eye macros. Maybe it's that an eye represents so much more than the face value (pun ), that they have such depth. Anyways, well done.

Nico: Congratulations on your 6th placing. What is this...you are new here and all i see is Nico everywhere. I am so happy for you and keep it up...you have a lot of creativity and you are able to change styles.

I love members like you because you help the accomplished to realize that competition is well and alive and they better look.

Your entry is captivating and what I call a mind teaser because one has to do a double take. Any picture that makes the looker do a double...means you have created something above average. Go and beat this image.

This is a great shot! The windowed reflection adds the notion of complexity and the title opens up the viewer to the complex nature of the human mind. Great job.

I'm a big fan of the ultra-closeup eye shots and this is a particularly good one.I think it would be better to see fewer items reflected in the eye so we can really see what they are, and that one gray vein is a bit distracting, but those are nitpicks for an overall excellent shot. Very nice job.

Really interesting! I can't wait to hear how you did that!

While this is a fantastic image, I feel that the eye needs a bit more space to the left and the pupil should be in perfect crispness. 8

i am not a big fan of all the dodging, i do like the reflection in the eye, nice idea. perhaps i would have cloned out the largest vein in the eye, it is a little disctracting to close up. Maybe clone it down to the size of the other veins.

The fading of the coloring from pink to gray give the eye an 'animal' character. I wish you had left the skin natural colors.
