OK, just so no one feels deceived, or jealous that i got this bird to stay still while i took photos... i found this poor creature dead in my front yard... it may have met its end after flying into a passing car, not sure.

so i decided to put the little thing to good use, and now its memory is forever immortalized at DPC.

ALSO, many of you commented about the box being "level". i thought the unevenness gave the image much more of the candid/found look i wanted. sorry if it made you all have to tilt your head ;-)

Congratulations! I wish I had this idea as well; I've had three birds fly into my windows only to never fly again. They will never be remembered as yours. : )

Congrats on the HM Mark. I really had to laugh when I read that you recycled another dead critter; at least the poor little thing didn't go to waste! I like the tilt as well, adds a little fun to the shot.

Great find for this challenge; wish it were level (which can be subjective). Love the little loose feather.

This is lovely. I wonder how long the 'floor' of his apartment is going to support him. Only little nitpick, I wish it was all straightened up.
