I wasn't going to enter this challenge. I didn't have any ideas. I had just found out my dad had an incurable lung disease and I guess that must have been on my mind when I thought of this. I couldn't sleep last wed. night thinking about my dad and then this idea came to mind. I only had Thursday to shoot and edit all of the photographs used in this composition. I spent most of the day on it. Despite the rush I feel happy with the image and feel it got the point I was trying to make really well.

Now that you know what my thoughts were in creating this image, I don't think it needs much more explanation. Time is always passing whether we want it to or not.

Congrats on the HM, Jenn. I'm so sorry about your Dad. I hope that he is comfortable.

i am sorry for your circumstance. Your life story adds to my understanding of the image. I was getting the prisoner of time theme - but not necessarily understanding the depth of the message until i read your notes. its good to have an output(not sure this translates well) for your emotions.

Congrats on the HM Jenn! A very poignant piece. Time does indeed have a hold on us. It sweeps us away and passes 'whether we want it to or not'. I love the texture on this piece because it gives it a sense of age - perfect since this visual art addresses the subject of Time. Just one observation I made: The 'hands of time' only represent two moments in time (11:40 and 10:09). It might have been best to have different times to represent 'time stands still for no one' or, upon, further reflection one can deduce that it represents those particular moments in time slipping away.

Oh Gosh. I was wrong. Sorry about the mistaken identity. None the less a wonderful and creative masterpiece. You deserve the ribbon all the same. You are an outstanding artist. I now have another favorite! Congratulations on a top 10.

I keep thinking maybe there's a love letter in the sky. The effects in the trees is nice, this is light & airy, & delicate, but really so sad.

Nice pose of the model, beautiful clocks working perfectly in this photograph, a great combination of all elements finished with a perfect filter.

I'm not qualified enough to pass a valid comment/critique on this work. All I'll say is that it is indeed something a painter might create. 7

Lovely concept, Jenn. I find the composition of the "balloons" too stiff, though, without enough tension in the cords. But it will likely finish at the top, regardless
