 I was snorkeling in the ocean for the first time in my life, when we happened upon a sea turtle effortlessly gliding through the water. He guided us to where all the cool coral/fish were, which is where the title comes from.

I'm on the fence about this. On the one hand, it's a cool photo because of the experience. On the other hand, I had a photo of a plant that I think could do better than this.

But in the end, I entered the one I think is the more interesting photo, as I expect to see a lot of plants here. Plus, it's only the second ever photo entered with the Nikon L12 (an old camera which I have an underwater housing). Funny thing is, both are of sea turtles!

Awesome shot Mike. I was going to enter a similar shot about a month ago for the Meme challenge but I looked at the file and realized my Go-Pro was not set to the right date. Oops

Snorkeling with Turtles is probably my favoritr thing in the world. My family and I went to Kauai for 2 weeks and we went snorkling almost every day. There is a place called Anini beach where you can find turtles without fail. At one point I was swimming with seven turtles in one 20 yard area.

Anyway, great shot. I love the patterns and colors of their shells.
