Thank you for the wonderful comments. I am exited about the great votes.
I have seen so many inspiring water drop pictures here at DPC that I am hooked in trying to recreate many of them. There is still 2 pictures in my mind I have to get done. Won't tell though what they are :)

For this picture I literally took one day vacation, locked myself into our basement until I was happy with one shot. I'm not kidding - 6 hours of dropping water onto each other and then into a soup bubble on top of each other. But it was a lot of fun.

Thank you again for your comments and votes.
:( I still have to wait 3 days for the result.

I think your drop scene is actually better than Irene's. The difference is that she's got a knack for keeping it clean. To me yours looks oversharpened or something. There's also some banding going on in the upper right corner and some other minor blobs elsewhere. Melethia makes a valid point about the rectangular reflection. I agree with her that you probably could have cloned that out with no issue in verification.

I would be curious to see your original on this. I think you have the winning shot, just that you've done something odd in post.

Wow, I commend you for taking one day off for vacation to do this, and 6 hrs, glad it was worth it for you, not sure if I could do that!

Wow - lots going on here! Nice use of color. The only nit is the rectangle which grabs the eye - you could have cloned that, I think, under advanced rules.

I imagine you've based yourself upon the How'd They Do That? from sarampo? This is one of my favourite water drop shots and you've succeeded very well in the remake of it with even a little more: the collision of the 2nd drop. A 10 from this side of the globe.
