Magnificent. And nice to see it recognized here, which almost surprises me but also gives me hope. Well, not for me, per se, but for the casual viewer who despite themselves recognizes that indelible "something"...

Simple but very high interest - I think the balance between the busy, highly textured, lit background and the strong, simple shadow is excellent. Congratulations on the top ten.

I completely disagree with Fred -- I love how the light plays on the background and the shadow interrupts it all. This is an awesome shot, thoroughly enjoyable. 9 from me and is going in my favorites. Beautifully done!

Lovely image and congratz on 10th place. However I don't really find much vying for attention going on between light and shadow which was the challenge description.

LOVE everything about this. My top choice so far. I love the tones, the patterns, the dirt smudge dead center, and especially that she looks like she's floating over a wall.
