Couldn't make up my mind with this challenge, I think I uploaded and unsubmitted my photo around 10 times, all the previous shots were in colour, but I couldn't get the sky right the way Robert does, so I went with this one. I do love it though.

This is an awesome beach to take your dog to, full of life and frivolity.

Aghh Penny I tried to make the horizon straight I did i really did, but those clouds give the illusion it is crooked, if only a little - true!

Thanks Robert for the paw, I really enjoyed this challenge immensely.

You know what the PP is really my style all along, but I feel the photo is a bearish photo, the beach, the wooden staircase looking down, the sky and the water. I used CEP to process it, a little detail extractor, sepia tones with a touch of luminosity, grad neut density, adj contrast, reduced noise, touch of cloning in sky, not much else.

Wtg! This does look like a slice of Cape Cod beach.

In so many ways this feels like a penetrating echo of places I have been and how I've seen them, BUT... and it's a big "but"... the skewed horizon drives me mad! Love the processing and the scene, the tones, the conversion.

*******

Still, it's a wonderful, Beary place and light, and I give you a Bronze Bear Paw.

some nice melodrama here, with the small characters overwhelmed by nature... reminds me of those Hudson School Romantics.

Definitely in the right spirit. I like the processing and that kind of sky that bear likes to capture, processed to bring out the detail. Love it. However, bear would have been fastidious about making sure the horizon was level! Nice capture with the man and dog on the extension of the leading line created by the path and steps, which is another bear kind of detail.

Nice one. (Came back to edit typo)

The movement of going down the stairs plays against the movement of the clouds in the sky in a strange but interesting way.

Very dramatic sky, somewhat surreal

This is such a dream-like image. I feel like I'm looking through a special kaleidoscope which shows idealized bits of life
