Thanks Cory - I do think on reflection there is too much noise. My laptop where I tend to do my processing tends not to make the noise so noticeable or perhaps it is the bottle of wine I have consumed whilst processing:)

I think adding more noise may have been a wise move to make it look less like it was not meant to be there. It was a wild night and unfortunately I was in a tent:)

Well spotted. Probably my favourite Topaz Adjust preset. I really must purchase the Nik software and try and expand my processing:)

You've pulled the shadows too hard here. I see what you were going for, but there are two ways to deal with this.

The first, is a massive hit of noise reduction, the other is to embrace the grain, and convert to black and white, while adding a bit more to even things out.

Great image for Peter, and really a powerful image as well, very spooky cloud mass there!

I like the concept of this shot but the noise in the shot really detracts from the overall image.
