I stood in awe, as the crepuscular rays filtered down into Horseshoe Park this morning. The smoke and haze create their own opportunities because of the formation of unique light phenomenon. There are many fires in the Western US, especially in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Montana. The prevailing winds sweep the smoke into Colorado from time to time.

The image is presented as I saw it with my eyes. Those are the true color tones. Those are the true crepuscular rays. Nothing has been added. I love the stacked hills effect in combination with the smokey rays. The perspective is from 10,500 feet at Rainbow Curve in RMNP.

As someone who takes natural scapes (when I am out in the field) I recognised the blue colour was smoke and not odd PP. We are just coming out of our winter where this is common place all over Africa, unless it's dust, then the results are reddish. Underrated. 7.

Lovely geology and light nicely captured. Almost biblical that light!

For me the sky seems really overprocessed compared to the rest of the scene, giving a rather false finish to the image.
