Ironically enough, it's the off-kilter wine glass that stabilizes the whole image.

Love the candidness and ease of this image. The low contrast reveals plenty. Thanks

This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)

Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.

This is one of my 8s - I like it. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Bold. Feels thoughtful. I know that you knew this would get hammered. I like that you believed in it.

2. The low contrast works for me - it pushes me out of the scene, I can see but can't be seen - the effect is one of making the viewer a ghost.

3. The every-day casualness of the scene, adding oodles of authenticity.

Overall, purposefully understated in a way that brings its own effectiveness.

The processing makes this look like a very old image.
