This is a photograph, pure photograph. Itisin fact a digital photograph atitsmost naked, blown up as far as its pixels will allow. There is no pen, no brush, no deliberation. If it doesn’t look like a photograph to you, then you don’t know what a photograph is. Think about that a moment. If this doesn’t look like a photograph, then you don’t know what a photograph is.

Isn’t it thrilling not to know what a photograph is?




original notes:

a crow taking flight. I had a more conventional flying pose but I like the mysterious, dancing nature of this form. Cropped all the way down to 800x800. Curves and sharpen.

But some will call this unphotographic, even though that's all this is: a photograph, the story of light.
