I remeber this day very clearly. We had a serious snowball fight outside our office with as many office workers as we could find - the grumpier the better!

You've taken a great shot here - lovely stuff.

nice snowy feel to this...good angle...

For those of you who wondered what the thing on the left is, I went back to the same location a week later, and took this photo - it turns out to be a very oddly shaped waterfeature! :o) Final addition - it's in fact the Canadian War Memorial... so now you know!

Greetings from the Critique Club
Composition & Subject: A Snowscape
I was led into this scene by the line of trees on the right, but I felt that the path was also dragging me off to the left! Perhaps a different angle would have helped! Sharpness:
This scene has the right amount of sharpness needed to convey the impression of the softly falling snow.
Contrast & Color: Good
Overall a lovely shot!
Suggestions for improvement:
Exposure:I would have tried bracketing this shot as I think the snow needed to be over exposed by a stop to make it sparkle!

Really nice. Good detail in the trees, and the different shades of white and grey make this very interesting. Composition is good too. 8

Very nice composition and lighting. The only oddity is that I can't figure out what the object is sticking out of the ground near the lower left. Love everything else about this.

Nice Symetry on the right. I find the "thing" in the bottom right corner distracting. Doesn't seem to fit in the picture. Still a wonderfull winter shot. Jacko.

Could this be more beautiful? I don't think so. I love the color, or lack of.

A nice study in almost B&W. I like the single left tree balancing the tree line on the left. And just the right amount of sky to set the mood. The snow bits on the trunks and icing on the branches are much needed to break up the stark dark vertical and horizontal lines. Although it may not have been possible from your vantage point, I would like the man made structure to be absent ( a minor point ). Otherwise a very pleasing image.

I really like this picture. The mood is great, the composition is excellent. I like how you framed the background with the foreground branches. I also like how you managed to get a "full colour" B&W picture. Nice. The object on the ground on the bottom left is a mystery to me as to what it is. I find it adds to the mood of the pic. Almost looks like a canoe that has sunk into the snow. A 10 in my Book. My prediction: In the top 3.

This is a beautiful shot. Excellent black and white! Nice composition, focus, and contrast. The line of trees takes the eye to the rear - Congratulations!

This is really good. Great composition and perfect in b&w. Perhaps I had cropped the right part like the left in the middle if the tree. One of my favourites thisweek. High score and good luck!

This is just beautiful. I really love the 'whiteness' of this entire scene.. I can see this one mounted in a black frame on my wall... great shot = 10 - setzler

I love snow shots, this is very nice indeed. Well done. Pretty work. You should print and frame this one.

You know, I love the form of this photo,a nd how the line of trees on the right drag you deeply into the photograph, but there's one distracting thing, and it's the only way I can fault it. the thing sticking out of the ground on the left, it's sooooo distracting! Get rid of it and take the photo again! Regardless, a cleverly taken photo, and after looking at it many times, I give you a 9!! -Annida

VERY NICE b/w. I especially like the look of the trees to the right. It looks a bit like everything is leaning a tad to the right, and I'm not sure what the object is buried below the tree on the left?
