Thanks everyone for your votes and comments.

It's been a very exciting week. I didn't expect a blue since 7.10-20 for me was not enough to get it and I'm sooo happy now :)

The model is my nephew, Marco. This was the first challenge of the TPL so I wanted to start the competition with a good image. The idea of the shot was pretty clear in my mind, so I planned the studio shot a few days before. Meanwhile I took some shots of a mountain and of a beach near my house (I have to say that living in a place with mountains and sea so close is sometimes amazing).

This was the first draft and I was planning to put some dinosaurs in that (I had already bought some toy versions - my son Andrea will be happy with them):

Even though my TPL friends liked this image, I still had my original idea in my mind, so I took the shots I needed, except for the sky, since the weather kept being awful throughout the week. My friends immediately loved it and nicknamed it 'the thirsty man'.

But still I needed the sky.

Last day was cloudy... OMG. Without it I couldn't get a convincing concept. Finally around 12 the sun came out and I guess those clouds add a nice touch to the final image.

As for the sky I wanted it to be soooo dark. It had to be like a lunar sky. It was my way to convey the idea of a torrid day.

I want to thank my TPL friends, especially mitalapo who suggested a perfect title (considering the little difference in the score between my image and Christophe's image it probably made the difference between us) and Silent-Shooter who helped me fix something weird around the bottle that I didn't notice. Last but not least Marco who has been a great model - his expression is IMO very convincing.

Last but not least, this image will part of a series about seasons. This is of course Summer and I'm working on the Autumn one.

The clouds are too dark, and the seam is a bit of a 'tell'..

Still, one hell of an image.
