Thanks for all the comments. I'm surprised by the number of people who mentioned how dark it was. This was done ON PURPOSE. After all it's an underwater depiction and you wouldn't expect a bright, sunny scene.

4...you have a neat aquarium if that is indeed your aquarium. My vote given is due to the overall darkness of the image, it seems a bit underexposed.

Comment Challenge: I like the whimsical-ish feel to this shot. Nicely done.

Oh boy, you created all this and I do not quite enjoy it! It's cute but I read the book 3 times at least and have it so differently in mind.5 for effort

Going to love to see the rest of the comments on this one ;) Playful, well set out, nicely lit but a little colour over saturated (no pun intended. In it's genre is very appealing, and you made the connection with the novel.5.

A fun imagining of this classic tale.
I like the light play as it would not be easy to see that far down, so i'm hoping that people aren't knocking you for it.
a 7 from me.

5 for its mere cuteness

Grin. Effectively produced fishtank inspiration. There's the plastic squid and something like the underwater suit of Cape Nemo. And then there's the bored silver dollar fish in the background. There's something brilliant at work here. 7

Clever! Not a bad take, but it doesn't blow me away either. 5

Fun! Is that a piranha?

Anyway, it fits. The image is cheesy, but fun.

I like it just a little dark but did not take away from it could just be my monitor.

I don't get it.....

Just kidding.

Just ok to me. I can't pinpoint what I don't like about it, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

Gave it a 4

I am giving this a 3 because it is nicely lighted and composed, and does indeed related to the book. Taking 7 points away because I am bored to death with little toys, and although well arranged, there is not really any story or drama or interactions. You can do better.

I like the idea behind this shot... but it seems a little dark, underexposed perhaps. And the processing (especially how the fish looks) is odd.

This is a picture of a fish tank, focusing on the props more than the fish. The props are appropriate to your title, but it's one of those shots that has no life beyond the challenge. 3

Well, that's an amusing take :-) You've got the Kraken, you've got a sophisticated dive-suit to fill in for the submarine. The camera cracks me up. The whole thing's processed nicely. As an aside, that's the biggest silver dollar fish I've ever seen if it's the same size as a giant squid :-)

6 from me.
