A picture from the Chicago Marathon. I read this book thirty years ago. A quite good read and not a bad movie. Hopefully, some will consider it a classic.

another inspired by the title but not by the book. I like blur but a good blur has to show something, never mind its literate connect. 2

never a fan of this style of image, it really just doesn't do anything for me.
a 3 from me

Is this a classic? I don't think so but never mind this.
(I do like a lot that for this challenge I have to look up books and authors.)
I did not read the book, just the synopsis and it's considered a "conspiracy thriller" in which the marathon itself seems not to play such an important role as in your shot.
It's an engaging picture and I can see some foul play here - perhaps a wee too saturated but a good shot

6...I see a tie to the novel via title only really and no connection to the story within. The color and movement is super pleasing though.

Cool image.

But wasn't the book about a guy getting tortured? Yeah, maybe he was a runner, but really, the book wasn't about marathons.

A diamond, or a tooth being drilled into.. Hell, even a bottle of clove oil. But this? Dunno, not much here to compel me.

Nice image though, so you get a 5

Good dynamics. Nice motion blur. not sure who's the man as the image says more men. 6

I regret to say that this doesn't qualify as inspiration from the novel. It's a good action shot of runners however. The color and tonal range is visually appealing and conveys the spirit of a track meet. But not the novel. 5

I haven't read the book, so I'm not sure if the tie to the story is there. An interesting picture, it definitely feels like they are rushing by. Maybe a little too much movement though, as it's difficult to find any focus. 5

I understand the concept of your image, but I think it would have been better had it been a single runner and the blur wasn't messy looking.

Gave it a 3

I kinda like it but the colors (in particular) don't give me the impression of the thriller it's supposed to depict. It's 4 from me.

A good blur, gives the feeling of a marathon and the man at the back. Doesn't quite connect enough to the novel in any other way for me, but I like the shot all the same.5.

Are these women, though??

I like the swirling of the runners. I wish you could have taken down the bright light streak at the top of the photo -- it really draws the eye away from the wonderful frenzy. -6-

Excellent motion blur and beautiful colors! Nicely caught, really seems to capture the movement in the race. And obviously, very applicable to the book title chosen!

I really like this shot. The movement here gives it more of a story to tell. Great interpretation for the title.
Well done. 6
