Yes, the movement is reminiscent of Hokusai but of course realized with more elements that the purity of a single angry wave.
Your composition is masterly. I particularly like the "draped" mountains

I like the concept, very unique take on the challenge (Hokusai connection is spot on). Lovely circular composition and BW gradient tones.
Technically, I think a square crop would be more suitable to represent the rotation. I guess there were distractions on the left you couldn't avoid.

I really love black and white and subject matter. You have a good eye. I am wondering what effect you could get if you shot from a lower angle so the moon was closer to the upper third of the photo? Nice work!
