all the interesting negative space is in the left half of the picture, made by the buck's antlers, etc. |

Nice rack.
Could be a little sharper, but otherwise a very nice shot.

Details: Use the surrounding space of your subject to create the wow of the photograph.
OH! If he was only looking into the frame, and there was more room. :(

Bold reverse composition. Like me I think you tend not to photograph for the DPC masses but rather as a Wildlife photographer; only to record the beauty of the animal and the serenity of the moment. Such work provides everlasting achievement and an unforgettable sense of accomplishment, unlike set-up conveyor belt photography. I'd have voted an 8 at least. (Team TPL2 Image, sadly no vote) |

Great animal, this nice details, and an interesting choice of composition. But a quick tip, remove the blue cast and this would look much nicer. |
