Photographer’s Notes
I have to admit, this was pretty fun. It taught me a new photographic term; it let me explore a new world of filters; and it let me produce a number of interesting derivative photos I’ve repurposed in other places.

The photo is of our (steel) fireplace mantle.

Using the bright orange vase on the left side was an extremely clever idea: it really creates a very efficient and dynamic line with the recursive effect. Very well done, congratulations on your ribbon.

I gave this an 8 because I really enjoyed the timeless "classiness" of it.

Familiar problem: how to reconcile the aspect ratio of the picture within a picture with the original. Anyway, crisply done.

Probably my favorite of the challenge, the constrained tones work off each other very well and the gap between similar shapes sets up the recusion perfectly.
