Challenge: Natural Body of Water II (Advanced Editing VII)

:) At last another ribbon! Thanks to the conformists in you. I'm guessing science and comedy central weren't the 1 voter strong points. hahaha.

Am I not correct in saying that she has a natural body and it predominantly consists of water? I think some DPC voting rules have been broken SC? Vote it down because it DNMC! Suspend them for 1 week! Yes Yes I know try and prove it...slap them on the wrist...this isn't medieval England, we no longer burn them at the stake, mores the pity.

The image was not taken with the challenge in mind but actually the recent negative space challenge. But every other water subject I could do didn't pan out. My frogs refused to show their faces in the pond; it rained on the only afternoon I had free to shoot that week; life caught up. In fact I was keen to pull the image during voting but my TPL2 team mates convinced me otherwise, evil sick bastards that they are :) WTH at least I got an entry in and we scored an extra 0.5 in the 2013 TPL2.
As vawendy said to us teamies during TPL2; "It's all about the fun!"

I enjoy candid photography (taking my own but also admiring others work) and there is nothing rude or boring about the shot. Boring means zero emotion, zero feeling. Who is she, where is she, why is she alone? It is a very tight crop on a much larger image taken at the races but I thought that DPC'ers can't possibly be that partisan. Do they have a humorous bone in their bodies? Some evidently do! I also used this POV to hide her identity. Had her face been visible that would take away the BODY point I was making, and the 1 troll count would have been even higher.

All street photography is voyeuristic to some degree. A window on someone else’s world.

I love catching odd, funny, sad, weird, joyful, thought provoking, comic moments when ever I can. I am not a 35mm Range-finder street shooter type at all. I'm too shy. So I take my telephotos and hide in the background...watching...
The shot itself was just to try some isolation with road paint at a Motorsport meet. But I cropped it tighter which had a drawback and made her bum stand out a bit more... sheesh some people are so sensitive :)

The other thing is I don't show faces in those shots to avoid any ID'ing as I don't have a release from the uhm "model".

I gave a lot of high votes in this challenge and made many comments despite being hammered on my own entry. I trust you will do the same in future challenges and rethink your 1?

I also thought of taking a photo of a human body, but you were braver than me. :)

Very natural body of water Harvey but I'm sure you were expecting it to get hammered. Brave man LOL

Ah Harvey voters can be so cruel. Brave entry, I'm so sorry it got hammered this way. But hey, brown is gold!

I get the point here - our natural bodies are mostly water! But I'd like to see more of your subject's face and expression, and perhaps a bit of context.

Dude, not a flattering photo -- it's kinda voyeristic and creepy.

Candid/street photography is a very respectfull art of photography. Shooting someones back is not respectfull, and 98% of the time it's boring. I was thinking about a simiar approach, so I get what you are trying to do here, but the photo is not good enough for that. 1, sorry
