And with 2 minutes to go before roll over:

I see that final number of votes that counted was 99 and my score went down so the person that gave me a 7 and was scrubbed, thanks anyway.

As for docjonny's comment - I couldn't agree with you more and I know there are probably thousands that would agree with you. This topic has been brough up time and time again and lots of ships have sailed with many horses that have been beaten to death but sadly I don't think you, me or anyone else is ever going to get a true answer. Yes I know this shot is a very set up studio / stock type of shot and that some detest that style - but why they chose to give a vote of 1 when it clearly does meet the challenge... only they and the Good Lord know why they do it. It happens. We just have to accept it just as we have to accept the people that hand out 10's to entries that are more "arty" and don't fit the greater majority's view of being an excellent shot.

Congrats on the tt, Stephen. Nice technical shot, though I wonder why you didn't clone out the tiny design on the leftmost glass. As it's the only one, and clearly positioned to minimize it, to my eye, it comes across as a flaw.

To docjonny, even though you've been here a while.... welcome to DPC :-)

I am intrigued and hope the membership wont shoot me down.
Here is a shot that surely has captured all that the challenge was about and scored a lovely 6.6465 from all the voters.
Like any work of art there are of course different folk having different feelings about the way it was shot and the overall technical quality etcetcc.
My question is this.. how can something that nearly 100 people vote on with an average score of 7 still have 2 people only give it a 1??? Is this voting really honest? Just my opinion.. sure it may well have some technical faults but a 1??.. would love the folk who voted this a one to please give us their reasons .. it would help me as a regular follower of this great site to understand their thinking more.
Thanks

So clean and perfect. Nice lines. It looks like an ad in a magazine. So clean and well lit. Great color choice. Brilliant shot.

Beautiful! I wish there were more reflections of the glasses through each other, they are really fascinating!

This may be nitpicky, but the wording/logo on the far left distracts me from this beauty.

Still very good.

One of the not unique photos, but well executed. I have one critique and that is the right left most glass reflects the one behind it awkwardly.
