 An amazing morning of photos the sky opened up, and cooled the ambient temperature to 0F. Windchill was in the -20F range. With this onset of cold weather, the lake was still open. This is what provided the steam in the distance. Plus the nice clouds and the color spectrum only seen when it's this cold, and you get dozens of photos from the morning that are keepers.

I like how this one really seems to convey a sense of desolation and beauty.
