Critique Club Review:
Color Saturation and Hue: Colors and hues are realistic and seem accurate for the subject displayed.
Brightness and Contrast: The light seems a little be flat to me. Near the middle of the image, the white edges of the shell appear to be burning out and losing detail. Other areas you can see the detail of the saw marks quite plainly. I would like to see it go one way or the other. As opposed to the current mixture.
Focus and depth of field: The focus and depth of field are excellent.
Personal observations: With the grain, and the tones, the shell looks almost a little dirty or grubby. I think I would have liked it better cropped tighter on the top and on the left. Or maybe even cropped to the edges of the complete (inner) spiral. Yes I am sitting here cropping the screen with my fingers. :-) Over all I like the image, and think you definitely earned your 6+ score. |
