Nikon AF 60/2.8D micro, f/22, 1/5.

This is one of those spiders that has a tiny body (less than 1cm, about 1/8 inch), and long-long-long legs.

I don't think they are mammals, birds or reptiles, but they surely aren't domesticated, and the picture was taken in the wild. So, i figure they qualify for this challenge. They certainly were a challenge to take a picture of.

One blurred line on the image is not a shadow from anything, that's an out-of-focus leg #2.

I know you've already heard this more than you care to, but the wording of the challange was very specific... It's a nice insect shot, but that isn't the challenge... Also I'd have liked to see either more or less of the legs... The current cropping doesn't work for me... But that's just me :)
Note : If you can document that this creature fits into the challenge, please email me and I'll reconsider my vote... myqyl@e-clark.us

The challenge was very specific about what was considered wildlife. This wasn't one of the choices.

I believe it says: mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians - what does *** represent?

Great use of bold color and contrast. LIked the focus on the spider, and dof you used. Wonderful macro photograph. Hope this qualifies as wildlife. I think it does.

Looks more like a painting than a photo. :)

Great macro. The background distracts me somewhat but all around this is a nice shot.

Good Job.
