The image is charming and the title is insightful and cogent. A long look at this half-gone boat is encouraged by its foreground placement and its lighting, as if highlighted by sunlight on an overcast day. I like the way the vignette enhances this impression. As for the sad truth of the title, I can't, fortunately for all, bear to get started.

If it weren't for the title I wouldn't have a clue that this is intended to have anything to do with "politics." Kind of a shoe horn for me.
