A group of voters decided this image was DNMC because, according to them, a discernible subject makes the image "not abstract". I really don't care. It is a good motion blur and it is abstract to me. I have no interest in photographing something that is just a blurry nothing. This is as abstract as I get. And, that's what is important to me.

Frankly, abstract is a painting concept. With a camera, one is photographing "something". To alter the photograph so it looks like a painting abstract is a deception of the viewer, especially with the blur element.
