Park Police horse hoof prints in melting snow. If you look close you can see the horseshoe shape. I'm not sure the horses are geniuses but it makes an interesting abstract.

57 votes, 5 comments, and scoring 5.03. The comment to vote ratio is very good. I thought this subject matter might have been recognizable but wasn't sure so I gave a hint in the title. I even cropped off more of the image than I wanted so the horse shoe prints were more obvious. It's probably a more enjoyable image for some because it can't be resolved. For others, I didn't show them enough. In the end, this is where I wanted to be.

A marvelous pattern field. Indeed, the square crop provides emphasis, but may not reveal enough for me. Still, I gave 10

No idea what I'm looking at and probably don't want to know, but the end result is really quite good!

I've tried repeatedly to resolve this, and I can't. Sometimes it's minuscule: bacteria, some other kind of microscopic life - maybe spermatozoa. Other times the scale is God-like: a view from space. But after all, I don't know what it is and more important I don't care; it's a beautiful thing that becomes more beautiful with every viewing. What a welcome relief that is from all the tiresome and unequivocal sermons where the viewer's only option is to sit there like a stunned mullet and submit to the photographer's leaden lack of anything fresh to say. I do love irreconcilable differences between your side of the camera and mine, so your picture is well into my top ten. Thank you.
