Huge thanks to Amy (and Millie) for letting me photograph Millie. I no longer have a dog of my own, so I had to see what one I could borrow. :)
Amy let me come over for awhile and photograph Millie. It was a REAL challenge. Talk about energy!! Always on the go. But such an expressive face! I brought along an external flash, held the flash in one hand, the camera in the other, held my breath, and shot lots. and lots. The majority of them not useable, because when I shot in one direction, Millie was already off in the other direction.
It's so much more difficult shooting animals that aren't yours -- you don't know their habits or what to expect. There were so many shots that could have been awesome, had I only known what was coming. :)
I loved the lighting on this shot. I knew I could crop in closer, and it probably would have done a tad better if I had, but I liked the feel of her being just in the lower part. I can't explain it, but it just felt right. Seemed like a much more real shot this way.

| Oh my - the answer is yes yes yes to the please ... this is one of the most beautifully lit photo in the challenge. Spiritual in a sense ... what a gorgeous companion you have .. surely the front page. |
