 I'm sure there will be a dozen images just like this. What a hard topic to depict! Although... the more I look at this image after I've finished it, the more I like it. Not "like" it... but more "think it fits".

My daughter and I were laughing so much during this shoot!

Usually, she can summon a real tear or two if the situation calls for them, but... we were so dad-gum HAPPY! LOL! It was 2:00 am and I'd just played (and won) my first game ever of Poker. She had her roommate and brother over and we played and laughed and had so much fun...


I had to use Karo Syrup for the tear.

I'm not unhappy about that. She did the best she could do at being miserable.

We're just happy people!!


That said... I do know for a fact that depression is real. I've been there myself. And I didn't cry tears. I didn't feel... at all. I was just... there. Not happy, not sad... just... There. Functioning. Or trying to.

If you're depressed... please get some help. It's just as real as the Flu. You can't "happy" yourself out of it if you're clinically depressed. There's a gap in the synapse of your brain. It doesn't take much to get it fixed... but you really DO need to get it fixed! There is SO MUCH LIFE out there to be enjoyed!

Life is good, even when it's not...
