Been going through a lot of stuff lately, so trying to express the darkness and how it affects me. Which face is the most versatile and suitable on a daily basis when you're under a ton of pressure? Hard to say.

Most of the masks portray less than pleasant emotions, though I did put in a genuine smiling one (and an insincere-smiling one) just so they were there and could be counted out. From left to right, top to bottom, the masks are meant to portray rage, insincere smile, dismay, genuine smile, shock, suspicion, boredom and dubiousness.

Shot the bare wall and my bare butt after I moved most of the living room furniture out of the way!

Shot the masks in the Closet of Doom and had fun trying to ensure that they all more or less matched in terms of colour and tone. Cloning eyebrows was also a hoot.

Used both Siggys, the flash/tripod.

pp: shot RAW, brightness/contrast, vibrance/saturation, warming filters, cloning, use of palette knife, dry brush and poster edge filters, topped off with sharpening. Resized and saved for web. Eh wala.

Post-challenge: Seems Expert is doable so long as you pick your tools carefully. Didn't think I'd get a top ten in an Expert challenge so very pleased. Thanks all!

Very creative. I like the high-key take on this. It works even though it's a 'dark side' challenge.
