 My first genuine attempt at macro and my first foray into focus stacking. Only used 5 frames, so nothing great...probably could've used 4x that, but I was impatient :)

In hindsight, I realize the composition is very poor...wish I had more space on the right for the flower to lean into. Looks really cramped right now.

Processing:
- Import into LR3
- Send to PS
- Stack layers together
- Auto-align layers
- Auto-blend layers
- Flatten
- Export to SEP2
- Adjust brightness, contrast and structure
- Invert image
- Adjust levels
- Send back to LR3
- local adjustments (D&B) to make flower stand out more
- Adjust global contrast
- Adjust global sharpness
- Adjust global curves
- Save for web.

Half a day to go --- looks like my dandelion is destined to remain a comment virgin.

Less than 6 hours to go, and I've not even had the slight glance from a lady across the dance floor.

Looks like my dandelion is going to finish the night at the bar in a blaze of glory with shot after shot of cheap liquor, followed by the slow, shameful walk home alone.

I'd hardly call 15th from a field of 141 a 'slow, shameful walk home'. I've been a bit busy and never did get the chance to look through, but there's no way in hell I'd've picked this for yours friend. And by the way, there is a world outside of DPC. Process it with the extra space and composition you'd like. Then show us. :)
