this is an old diner in central NJ. it has been there a long time, not operational. they are demolishing all the area around it

but apparently the diner itself is up for grabs (according to backdoorhippie) and this youtube video Abandoned 1950's Diner ***Free Giveaway*** - NJ

never ate there myself, probably for the best!

Haunting. The reflected pipe becomes a cross; the figure could be that of a caped friar. Great paperback novel cover!

Like a scene straight out of hell. Must give ten.

The shadow in the foreground makes this complete, well done. Great story told.

I have no idea what really happened here from viewing your photograph, but it strikes me as sad and poignant. I love the shadow looking at the loss and how it is superimposed on the reflection, silent, waiting, perhaps remembering? The tones in this are equally muted and dark all around adding much to the sense of emptiness. Very well done indeed.

Is this the one they're giving away over on Rt. 1 in NJ? Ate there ages ago.

Might like it better without the shadow.
