This was my first attempt at water drop photography and I am very pleased with the outcome. No fancy electronic drop controller or timer. Simply used a medicine dropper taped to a backdrop stand, a couple of flashes with colored gels and a lot of pictures.

I really had this pegged for one of the top 3...excellent execution. I just wish I had lighting that I could play with...

The pan is just a paint pan for a roller. It was filled to the rim with water, no saran wrap.

I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately I had the flashes too close to the water and they created some harsh and ugly reflections on the edge of the ripple that needed to be cropped out.

I expected to see this in the top 5... Great shot.

I think you suffered from the same haters I got. A 1 or a 2? Some people...
