Sculpture modeled on an Ohlone mortar and pestle on the bank of a restored section of Temescal Creek in North Oakland, across the street from the DMV, and with a footath leading to a small park on the next street-corner.

-Tripod, timer, Program mode
-FL 89.4mm (35mm EQ)
-Exposure-bracketing by two stops (1/60 | 1/159 | 1/636)
-HDR blending using EnfuseGUI at default settings
-RGB and Blue Curves
-Resize
-Crop to 160 pixel wide
-USM at 12%/48 dia/TH = 0
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5 (applied twice)
-Enlarge Canvas to make top/bottom borders
-Stroke to create side borders

A good use of the photo's shape to draw my eye through the various parts. However, without a strong subject, I'm left without something to focus on, and wondering what the thing is at the bottom.

Also, why the black bars on top and bottom? I don't think they're needed.

Nice shot! just one of those shots that would work both ways I think.. I would have love to see a version of this horizontal and see the path more
