Out walking, when the temperature suddenly dropped 3 degrees and the sky started flashing. I knew I had about 30 minutes to get shelter and remembered this bird watching hideout about 30 minutes away. Either this, or back into the city. I was accompanied by three other young guys who were out fishing and were totally drenched. The rain got them by surprise.

I think those dots on the right side of the sky, are raindrops, frozen by the flash of the lightning.

Congratulations on the ribbon and a Personal Best to date. This is such a good photo, even without the lightening it would be a strong image. I love the colors and the quality of the processing on the window sill, cup and landscape.

It's not in the future it's likely to be european way of writing the date day month year so June 2014 not September like USA does it, beautifully shot well done.
