So.... I didn't really read the description. Or if I did, I forgot. :)

I wasn't thinking about making it appetizing, just about making it look interesting/cool.

I really like the shot. Still not sure about the crop (tried a number of different iterations). I liked this one, but I didn't think it worked as well in 800 pixels:

Thanks for the comments and a fav!!

Very nice, Wendy - I like this. I think the texture adds quite nicely, too!

Congratulations on the ribbon! I appreciate the effort to make a simple image look elegant and "appetizing".

Congrats! I love the simplicity and textures. The lack of symmetry adds interest. One of my favorites in the challenge!

Congrats Wendy. I really like the texture; looks like a paper towel filter

I rememeber a Wendy who thought that she was not artistic. Just a name coincidence.

Gorgeous rendering, very pleasingly elusive. Bump to 9.

Why does it look like you can see thru a napkin over the apple? Otherwise I'd like it (more).

I love the high key feel to this. And I also really like the composition of plates and half fruit.

Interesting - I can't tell if I like the angle of the plate, or the added texture. After looking at it for a while I'm not crazy about either, honestly.
