I wanted to do edges of books. They're so wonderful and evocative. Yet Just book edges sounded kind of dull. I like Don's description of seeing something between the edges. I know I'm way too literal in this (I am in everything), but I still wanted to think of what you found in between pages of a book.
Love letters, yes, leaves and flowers!
I'm confused by the comment "bull", but I'm glad the photo was liked. :)
Unless people didn't have the typical fall elementary school project that I had growing up -- collect 5-10 leaves and press them in a book.
I had a crafty mom, so we pressed flowers, leaves, weeds, almost anything we found, for different projects. You really don't want to press things like geranium petals -- they bleed all over your book pages. You can put waxed paper in the book first, before the objects, but who wants to go through that hassle?
Anyway, it was fun playing with the lighting. It was very difficult holding open my own book while taking the shot (you couldn't see how the pages were appearing on the camera, I really wanted them to fan a bit.)
But it's still better than trying to corral cats! :)
Thanks for the comments! Especially the "bull" I always find it helpful to be reminded that not everyone has the same background/experiences. :)
