My son was playing around on his iPad and I rested my teaspoon on it. The reflections on and of the spoon inspired me to experiment with forks and spoons and an iPad using different backgrounds.
Forks seemed to work better than spoons and I finally chose this background because of the two colors and the diagonal lines of the purple light, all of which looked quite good on the black background.
Unfortunately the size of the iPad screen is such that getting the fork and the reflection onto the screen whilst keeping the background black was a little tricky. I placed the iPad inside a photo tent, but struggled to get the light balance on the subject right. Putting light on it spoilt the effect, and lack of light cost me sharpness.
I ended up with three images to choose from (different backgrounds) and I am so pleased that this did well.
