Another phone photo!

I really battled with myself to crop the photo so the subject was not in the centre mainly due to having at the back of mind that it is generally a no no to have the subject slap bang in the middle. However something about the central position really worked for me so at the risk of being marked down for this I have gone for it. They do say you can break the rules sometimes don't they?

Wow thanks for the great comments and votes. Fergal (my dog) will be very pleased:)

This is one cute little dog, and your photograph has the WOW Factor for sure, nice point of view.

Also the rock offshore to the left helps ground the composition: WITH it, it's not "centered" perceptually, WITHOUT it it would be too centered.

This is a PERFECT dog photo. I love everything about it, but I think the colors ar what makes it extra special

I Absolutley Love this photo. I think you did right not to crop it if you weren't happy with what it looked like cropped.
I think the Fergal being slap bang in the middle helps the impact of him being "In your Face" and "ready to play"
Superb and such a natural shot!
I am sad and i apologise that i never got to vote on this, i would have given it a 10 for sure.

If you keep taking photos of your dog all year long, and if they are all this good, he is going to be immensely proud! Make sure he doesn't start a gallery in the garden, to impress the neighborhood :) Great work, as other said, the point of view makes it all, great impact.

The angle on this makes the centered composition so right. Definitely a good choice!

Cute. Lovely Cornish light. Looks like the dog is learning a new dance step!
Great POV and composition, and catching Fergal looking up while the camera, and presumably you, were obviously much closer to the sand.

Beautiful dog, nice picture, excellent processing.

It inspired me to use my Iphone 6p camera more often.

Excellent photo of your dog. Sharp, bright, nice colors, lovely facial expression.
I don't like the centered composition. I would have cropped a bit from the bottom (just a bit) and a bit more from the right, but that's just me.
