I always admire detail in a close-up but I find this one over-saturated. Maybe it's just the light Anyway, I gave it a seven but I think that is high. 6

I think you'll do a bit better with this crisp macro. 5.8

I'm sorry, I'm now commenting on my lower votes, so its difficult to offer a playable comment. I think the bee on the flower is a bit of a cliche and although technically engaging as a process to the photographer (I've spent hours myself), they seldom translate to an interesting image for viewers. I think the rear end of any creature is seldom its best side and the sharpness seems a little pushed. I think you'll be lower than your score - perhaps 5.2?

Very good bee shot. Something makes it look flatter than need be...not sure if it's too much contrast or if yellows are just overexposed. 5.75

the bee is so sharp it's almost cartoony. I like that so I'll give you a five. DPC will give you 5.7

Seems closer to 5, but I could bee wrong.

There went something wrong in the PP. The background was blurred but you didn't do a clean job between the flower. I only look at this and not at the bee anymore. 5.4

nice detail on the bee, but overall something feels a bit off.
I expect you'll go above your prediction, I say 5.7763

I voted before looking at titles, now commenting.

This is a tough on to gauge. The image is overall nice and bright. But seems to have some sharpening issue. That might keep you below a 6. I gave you a 6.

My guess: 5.61

5 for sure from me, I bet it will be about the same for the avg

Must say that I never managed to get a shot of a bee. Did not even try it perhaps because it's so well done too many times. I always look with interest at all flora and fauna images but there are far too many and even if people at DPC are quite generous with their scores I doubt that you'll get past your guess

Mine is 5.4

Lovely detail here. I would estimate this to finish at 6.2

Very sharp bee, the crop is kind of different, may of had no choice, maybe a little under estimated, I'm going to guess 5.78.

The colours pop right off the screen - nice! Perhaps it has been oversharpened or maybe a high pass filter applied too strongly - it looks a little crunchy. 5.62

Cool macro shot but I think you went a smidge over with the PP.
I'm in higher than your guess.
Back to post my guess. 5.56

I imagine 5.5 is about right. It feels unnaturally flat and somewhat oversharpened. Very clean on the bee though.
